2103 Students Qualified for NTSE Scholarship

NEW DELHI, SEPTEMBER 4- NCERT has recently released the final merit list in which a total of 2,103 students were qualified. Shortlisted candidates are eligible to avail the National Talent Search scholarship. The Council conducted the stage 2 exam on June 16, 2019 and the state-level NTSE 2019 was held in November 2018.

According to the notification, 2000 scholarships are available however, the number of selected students exceeds by 103. So, possibly there can be scrutiny of students through the document verification process or an interview round. However, there is no official announcement available regarding the same.

The scholarship amount provided through NTSE is as follows:

Payment Mode- The payment of scholarship is either directly transferred to the account of candidates through e-banking or it is sent through bank draft wherever e-banking facilities are not available.

NCERT has also released the notification for NTSE 2020. NTSE stage 1 will be held on November 2, 3 and 17, 2019 and stage 2 will be held on May 10, 2020. The official notification is available on the official website http://www.ncert.nic.in
