RRB NTPC exam dates 2026 announced; check complete schedule here

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released tentative dates for the Non-Technical Popular Categories (Under Graduate) Computer-Based Test (CBT-I). As per the official notice, the CBT-I for Non-Technical Popular Categories (Under Graduate) will be held on May 7, 8, 9 and June 13, 14, and 16 to 21. The examination will be conducted in CBT mode across designated centres in India.

The RRBs have specified that the exam city and date details will be released 10 days prior to the examination dates on the official websites of all RRBs. City slips are released ahead of admit cards so that candidates can make travel arrangements accordingly. The hall tickets or call letters will be released four days before the exam date. Candidates have been advised to regularly check the official websites and download their hall tickets within the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.

RRB NTPC 2026: Exam day guidelines

The RRB has also emphasised the mandatory Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication process at the examination centres. Candidates will be required to undergo biometric verification before entering the exam hall. They must carry either their original Aadhaar card or a printout of their e-verified Aadhaar for identity verification purposes. Candidates who have not completed Aadhaar verification are advised to do so by logging into the official portal at www.rrbapply.gov.in

In addition, candidates are urged to ensure that their Aadhaar details remain unlocked in the UIDAI system before reaching the exam venue. They should update their Aadhaar card with accurate personal details, including name, date of birth as per Class 10 certificate, latest photograph, address, and father’s name, to prevent discrepancies during verification.

The Boards have issued a strong warning to candidates to stay away from fraudsters who may try to mislead job aspirants with false promises of railway appointments in exchange for illegal payments. The recruitment is conducted strictly on the basis of merit through the Computer Based Test (CBT) and other stages of the selection process.
