NEW DELHI: The Bar Council of India (BCI) has announced that AIBE XV (15) result 2020 will be uploaded in the third week of March instead of the first week of March 2021, as announced earlier. The much delayed AIBE XV (15) 2020 was held on January 24, 2021, in offline mode.

The AIBE result 2020 will be crucial for thousands of law graduates who would be looking to get the Certificate of Practice (CoP) after clearing the exam. The CoP is an important document that is awarded to the AIBE qualified candidates. Having CoP is a prerequisite for practising law in any court of India.

AIBE XVI (16) 2021 also gets postponed

It may be noted that the council has already postponed the AIBE XVI (16) 2021 on February 21, 2021. The 16th session of AIBE will now be held on April 25 instead of March 21, 2021. In consonance with the postponement, the registration date has also been extended till March 22 from February 21, 2021.

About AIBE

The apex law body in India, the BCI conducts AIBE every year in 11 different languages. The exam is a test of the basic legal knowledge and aptitude required for practising law in India. It is mandatory for law graduates to clear AIBE in order to get the CoP. An unreserved category candidate is required to secure at least 40% marks in the test to qualify for the exam. The SC and ST category candidates have to score at least 35% marks to qualify the exam.
