AIBE XV 2020 exam is being conducted today; here is what you need to know

NEW DELHI: The Bar Council of India (BCI) will conduct the much-delayed AIBE XV exam today at more than 40 cities across the country. The exam was originally scheduled to be conducted on November 8, but had to be rescheduled owing to the pandemic situation. A certificate exam, those who qualify in the exam are issued Certificate of Practice (COP), which is a permit to practice in a court of law. The exam is designed for law graduates ( both 3-year and 5-year integrated LLB).
The exam will be conducted in pen and paper mode, with applicants allowed to carry their textbooks and notebooks inside the exam room; which is why the nomenclature open-book exam, as AIBE is also known as.
The duration of the AIBE XV (15) exam will be 3 hours 30 minutes during which the candidate will have to attempt 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs). Each question will carry 1 mark; there is no negative marking.
The test is available in 11 languages: Hindi, English, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali, Gujrati, Oriya, Assamese and Punjabi
Candidates appearing in the exam need to carry their AIBE admit cards and a valid photo id proof, as without these documents they won’t be allowed to take the test. Note that given the COVID-scare, the BCI has also issued a SOP for safe conduct of the exam that candidates need to be aware of.
Post-exam, answer keys will be released at allindiabarexamination.com. Using the answer one can calculate probable scores and thereby chances of qualifying in the exam.
