NEW DELHI: The Bar Council of India (BCI) will be declaring the All India Bar Examination XVII (17) results 2023 by next week, a official informed Careers360. Candidates who appeared in the AIBE 17 exam 2023 held on February 5 will be able to download the qualifying certificate from the official website, allindiabarexamination.com.

The AIBE 17 answer key 2023 was released consecutively and the candidates were allowed to raise objections against the key by February 20. Earlier, the council had announced to declare AIBE results after February 20, however, it has not yet officially made an announcement on AIBE result date 2023.

“No date fixed yet. AIBE 17 result should be available by next week on the official website,” the official told Careers360.

The BCI in a notice dated December 30, 2022, stated that the time period between “the last date of All India Bar exam held on October 31, 2021 till April 2023, by which time, the result of the next AIBE is likely to be declared, is hereby exempted from being counted as a necessary time from the date of enrollment as an advocate for clearing AIBE”.

Once declared, candidates will have to key in registration credentials in the AIBE login window to download the scorecard. On February 10, five days after the exam was held, the Supreme Court heard a petition on issues concerning AIBE. However, the top court upheld the powers of BCI.

The BCI will award the Certificate of Practice (COP) to the candidates who pass the exam. To qualify, general category candidates have to secure a minimum AIBE exam passing marks of 40%, while SC and ST candidates should score 35%.
