AICTE PG scholarship scheme deadline extended till December 31

The AICTE PG scholarship programme is a 2 year scholarship that provides eligible post graduate students with Rs 12,400 per month.

NEW DELHI: The deadline for the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) post graduate (PG) programme scholarship programme has been extended till December 31, 2022. Interested candidates can apply for the scholarship at AICTE's portal- pgscholarship.aicte-india.org.

The scholarship amount under the scheme is Rs 12,400 per month. The scheme is valid for 24 months or for the duration of the course. The last date for institutions to verify students and re-submit defective applications is on January 15, 2023.

AICTE PG scholarship scheme eligibility criteria

  • Interested candidates must be in an undergoing PG course and have a valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) or Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) score and are required to be admitted in an AICTE approved institute or programmes with approved intake.
  • The applicant must a full-time admitted scholar under programmes such as master of engineering (MEng), master of technology (MTech), master of architecture (MArch) or master of pharmacy (MPharm).
  • Students in their final years of dual degree integrated programmes are also eligible to the PG Scholarship from the 9th semester onwards in case they get a CGPA score of 8 or above for one year in final year.
  • The PG scholarship is not admissible to passed out students taking a second time admission on the basis of re-qualifying GATE or GPAT exam who have already availed the scholarship from AICTE or any other centrally funded institution like – Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes Of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs).

The ACITE scholarship will be granted on a monthly basis that is based on their academic performance and adherence to institution regulations. The students under the scholarship is required to take 8 to 10 hours of classes per week of work related to teaching and research activities as assigned to them by the Institute.

The amount of scholarship is subject to change as per the directions of the ministry of human resource development from time to time. The council has also warned students that the scholarship can be discontinue for any kind of misconduct like ragging.
