Allahabad University Admission 2026: PhD registration for 959 seats closes on September 25

Allahabad University: Candidates apply for PhD admission on the official website at allduniv.ac.in
The University of Allahabad (UoA) has offered 959 seats for PhD admission for the academic year 2026. Allahabad University PhD admission 2026 registration will close on September 25. Candidates who fulfill the required eligibility criteria can apply for PhD admission on the official website at allduniv.ac.in.
According to the AU’s notice, candidates will be allotted admission to PhD courses until verification of eligibility and documents and approval by the authorities.
Allahabad University offers PhD programmes across various streams, including law, science, commerce, history, and more. Candidates will be allotted seats as per the reservation criteria norms set by the Government of India and the UGC norms

The reservation policy provides for 15% reservation for Scheduled Castes (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes (ST), and 27% for Other Backward Classes (OBC) under the Non-Creamy Layer category. In addition, a 10% reservation is provided for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD) are entitled to 5% horizontal reservation, which applies across the relevant categories.
Candidates willing to apply to more than one PhD subject have to submit a separate application. Allahabad University accepts UGC NET, CSIR NET, GATE, JEST, and ICAR exam scores for PhD admissions.
