PGAT 2023: Allahabad University to start registration for PG admission tomorrow for 9,467 seats

NEW DELHI: The University of Allahabad will start the registration process for postgraduate admission test (PGAT 2023) from tomorrow, April, 25. The university will conduct the Allahabad University PGAT 2023 in the first week of June. PGAT 2023-24 will be conducted for a total of 9,467 seats.
Candidates who wish to pursue PG courses at the Allahabad University will have to submit the application form through the official website by May 16, 2023. “The applicants will be able to register through aupravesh2023.cbtexam.in or by clicking on the link PGAT- 2023 available on the university website, allduniv.ac.in,” the university said.
Out of the total number of PG seats offered through the admission test, 4,203 seats for the university campus and 5,264 for the constituent colleges. The results are scheduled to be declared by the last week of June 2023. The counselling for admission for different courses may start from the second week of July 2023, the official statement read.
PGAT 2023-1 will be held for 32 courses, along with LLB, MCom and LLM, and PGAT-II will be conducted for 24 courses including BEd, MEd, MBA (RD) and MBA in addition to the professional courses such as MCA, MSc Food Tech, MVoc Media Studies and PGDCA offered by Institute of Professional Studies (IPS).

From this year, the university will be offering MTech in Materials Science and Technology through the Centre of Materials Science for a total of 15 seats.
Allahabad University PG entrance exam for PGAT-I, LLB, MCom and LLM will be conducted in both online and offline mode. While the PGAT-Il and IPS courses will be conducted in online mode only.
Online mode exams will be conducted in Bhopal, Kolkata, Patna and Thiruvanthpuram districts, and both online and offline mode exams will be held in Prayagraj, Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh and New Delhi.
The PGAT 2023 question paper will have 150 multiple choice questions carrying 300 marks. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers, it said.
“Use of mobile phones, calculators, gadgets, other electronic devices, any written or printed papers are prohibited and it will be treated as unfair means,” it added.
