Amrita International School of Law to host national seminar on Indian Constitution; register by November 26

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s International School of Law, Coimbatore, will organise a two-day national seminar titled “The Indian Constitution: New Dimensions and Challenges” on November 28 and 29, 2025. The seminar will focus on the continuing role of the Constitution in guiding India’s governance, rights protection, and democratic institutions in the context of technological, social, and political changes.

As per the institute, the seminar will explore the relevance and adaptability of the Indian Constitution in contemporary India, focusing on its role in social justice, fundamental rights, federal governance, and emerging technological and socio-political challenges.

The seminar will provide a forum for jurists, academicians, policymakers, and legal professionals to engage in discussions linking academic research and practical implementation.

“It seeks to facilitate critical discussions on issues such as technology governance, data privacy, artificial intelligence, globalisation, environmental sustainability, federal relations, social equity, and gender justice,” the institute said.

Professor Emeritus at Amrita International School of Law, A Lakshminath, will serve as the seminar patron, with Anil G Variath, Dean of the School, acting as co-patron. The seminar is supported by institutional, knowledge, and industry partners.

Indian Constitution Seminar 2025: Who can participate?

The institute states that law students, legal professionals, academicians, researchers, policymakers, and all individuals interested in constitutional law, governance, and public policy are invited to participate in the seminar. The last date to register as an attendee for the seminar is November 26, 2025.

Participants can engage in paper presentations, attend sessions, and contribute to discussions that link academic research with practical policy and governance considerations. The last date for abstract submission for the seminar is November 25, 2025, while the final paper should be submitted by December 10, 2025.

According to the institute, selected papers will be published in the conference proceedings or as an edited book with an ISBN. Certificates will be provided to all participants, with awards for the best paper and best presenter.

The registration fee for the seminar is Rs 1,500 for paper presenters attending offline or online, Rs 750 for attendees, and Rs 300 for Amrita University students and staff, exclusive of GST.
