AP EDCET Counselling 2024: Phase 1 web option entry begins tomorrow; eligibility

NEW DELHI: The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) will open the window for the Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test (AP EDCET) 2024 web option entry tomorrow, September 3. Candidates who registered for the AP EDCET counselling 2024 can exercise web options entry through the official website, edcet-sche.aptonline.in.

Candidates will have to enter their AP EDCET 2024 hall ticket number and date of birth to log in and select the institute and course as per their preference. Candidates will be allowed to complete the AP EDCET 2024 web options entry till September 7. If candidates want to edit their choice-filling preferences, they will be able to make changes on September 8 through the official website.

The APSCHE will announce the AP EDCET 2024 seat allotment result on September 10. The AP EDCET 2024 seat allotment will be done based on the rank secured by the candidate, preference, and seat availability. Candidates are required to self-report and report to their respective colleges between September 10 and September 13. Classwork will commence on September 11.

Candidates seeking admission into the Bachelor of Education (BEd) and BEd special education programmes in various institutes in Andhra Pradesh can check the course-wise eligibility from the table below.

Mathematics

Candidates with Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) with Mathematics as one of the group subjects, Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) candidates with Mathematics at the intermediate level, or Bachelor of Technology (BTech) with Mathematics and Physics

Physical Science

Candidates with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) who have studied Physics and Chemistry or Allied Material Sciences under Part-II group subjects, or BCA candidates with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) at the intermediate level

Biological Science

Candidates with BSc or BSc (Home Science) who have studied Botany and Zoology or Allied Life Sciences under Part-II group subjects, or BCA candidates with Biological Sciences at the intermediate level

Social Studies

All candidates with BA or Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) or Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) or BCA candidates with Social Sciences at the intermediate level

English

Candidates with a BA in Special English or Master of Arts (MA) in English

As per the official notification, candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in their Bachelor’s degree including BA, BSc, BSc Home Science, BCom, BCA, BBM or in a relevant postgraduate degree, or a five-year integrated course in the relevant subject, or an equivalent qualification. Reserved category candidates will receive a 10% relaxation.
