AP LAWCET and PGLCET 2026 are conducted for admission into five-year and three-year LLB and the postgraduate LLM courses offered by state universities, constituent colleges, and affiliated colleges for the academic year 2026-27.
Applicants should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh and satisfy local and non-local status requirements as per state government orders for 2026-27.
For admission to the 3-year LLB course, candidates should have passed any graduate degree from a recognised university or an equivalent exam. General category candidates should have obtained a minimum of 45% aggregate marks, BC candidates should have passed with 42%, and SC, ST candidates should have at least 40%.
Marks of 44.5%, 41.5%, and 39.5% respectively will be treated as meeting the prescribed minimum, the council said.
Candidates who do not secure the required percentage in graduation may still be eligible if they obtain the prescribed aggregate in an additional graduation or postgraduate degree, it added.
For the 5-year LLB course, candidates should have passed Class 12 or intermediate or an equivalent exam with 45% aggregate marks for general category, 42% for BC, and 40% for SC, ST candidates. The same rounding-off rule applies for 5-year LLB as well.
For admission to the 2-year LLM course through AP PGLCET, candidates should hold a 3-year or 5-year LLB. Final-year LLB students will also be eligible to apply, provided they qualify exam with required marks at the time of AP LAWCET counselling.
