AP PGECET 2026 counselling schedule out for MTech, MPharmcy admissions; registration begins from Sept 16

The Andhra University has announced the counselling schedule for the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test 2026 (AP PGECET) for admission to MTech, MPharmacy and PharmD programmes for the academic years 2026-27. Candidates will be able to register for the counselling process from September 16 through the official website at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in.

The admission to various government and private colleges will be provided through GATE, GPAT, and AP PGECET scores. The registration window will be open until September 21, 2026.

As per the AP PGECET 2026 counselling schedule, candidates will be able to complete their online registration and pay the processing fee by the last date of the registration.

AP PGECET 2026 Counselling: Eligibility

The online verification of uploaded certificates at notified help-line centres will be held from September 17 to 22, the schedule read.

The university will open the web options from September 18 to 21 and an option-change facility will be held on September 25. Those, who will be allotted seats, will have to complete their self-joining and report to their allotted institutions between September 30 and October 3.

The classes for MTech, MPharmacy, and PharmD programmes through AP PGECET counselling 2026, will begin from September 30.

According to the official notification, candidates qualified in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) will be given first preference for admission to the relevant courses on the basis of their test scores.

While, the remaining vacant seats after allotment to GATE, GPAT candidates, will be offered to AP PGECET 2026 candidates on the basis of their merit ranks.

The eligibility criteria states that candidates seeking admission to various PG engineering courses must be Indian nationals and should have a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification from an AICTE, UGC approved institution with at least 50% marks.

For reserved category candidates, the minimum passing criteria is 45%, whereas 85% of seats in each course will be reserved for local candidates of AP, whereas the remaining 15% will be unreserved seats for eligible local and non-local candidates, the university said.
