Assam board Class 10 general science exam cancelled; Revised date ‘in due course’: SEBA
SEBA has initiated an inquiry into this aspect and will take all necessary action, the board in a statement said.

NEW DELHI: The Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) has cancelled the Class 10 general science exam scheduled to be held today, March 13. The High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC), or matric, exam for the general science paper has been cancelled in view of media reports of leakage of the question paper. The revised date for the HSLC 2023 general science paper will be announced soon.
SEBA in a statement issued on Sunday, March 12, said social media alleged that handwritten model question paper of Class 10 general science subject were circulated and such news might create confusion and therefore cancelled.

Saying that the board has initiated an enquiry in this aspect and will take all necessary action in this respect, SEBA said: “A handwritten model question paper of HSLC exam of general science (C3) subject, which is to be held on March 13, 2023 (Monday) is available in the hands of some candidate and it is also spread in the social media.”
“We have a belief that such news may create confusion in the minds of the candidates and keeping in view of this, the examination of general science (C3) subject, which is to be held on March 12, 2023 (Monday) is hereby cancelled,” it added.
The Assam board 2023 Class 10 matric exam started with the English paper on March 3 and was scheduled to get over on March 20. As many as 4,22,174 students have registered for the Assam board HSLC exams this year and the matric exams are being held at 912 centers across the state. Earlier, the board cancelled the English exam after reports of using unfair means by students in Cachar’s JR Ucchotor Madhyamik Vidyalaya Gonirgram Higher Secondary examination centre were made.
