Atal Innovation Mission calls for application for Community Innovator Fellowship programme

An individual with an entrepreneurial mindset, with an idea to solve a community challenge through enterprise will be able to apply for the fellowship.
NEW DELHI: Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, has launched a Community Innovator Fellowship programme to facilitate knowledge building and provide infrastructure support to aspiring community innovators essential for their entrepreneurship journey.
Community Innovator Fellowship programme is a one-year-long intensive fellowship programme wherein an aspiring community innovator can apply irrespective of their socio-economic background. “During the course of this fellowship, each fellow would be hosted at an Atal Community Innovation Centre and would acquire SDG awareness, entrepreneurial skills and life skills while working on her/his idea,” it said.
"The Community Innovator Fellow is an individual with an entrepreneurial mindset, with an idea to solve a community challenge through his/her enterprise," the official website read.
Candidates who are 18 to 35-years will be able to apply for the fellowship programme. They should hold at least a bachelor's, diploma, degree holder in any discipline from a recognized university. The other requirements are that the residential address should be within 30 km from ACIC and the applicants should have intermediate English proficiency.
There are 22 Community Innovator fellows being incubated at the Atal Community Innovation Centre (ACIC).

The year-long programme has been structured into 5 phases - application and selection; orientation; exploration; enhancement; springboard; and showcase.
The application for the Community Innovator fellowship was launched today, December 1, 2022. CIF is an initiative of Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog in collaboration with UNDP India.
