Over 5 lakh students write Bihar Board Class 12 exam 2026 on day 1; 26 expelled, 1 impersonator caught

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) conducted the first day 1 Bihar Intermediate Class 12 board exam 2026 for over 5 lakh students in two shifts. The BSEB Class 12 exam 2026 was held across 1,762 exam centres, including 152 model centres.

Additionally, 26 candidates were expelled, and 1 impersonator was caught on day 1 of the BSEB exam.

BSEB conducted the first shift paper from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm for the Science stream Biology subject for 4,98,475 students, while the Philosophy exam was held for 3,842 candidates.

In the second shift, from 2 pm to 5:15 pm, the Economics exam was conducted for 55,964 arts and commerce stream candidates.

Inspection for BSEB Class 12 exams 2026

The BSEB chairman, Anand Kishor conducted a surprise inspection of various examination centres in Patna district today in both shifts. During the inspection, the chairman reviewed how the examination is being conducted.

During the examination, the chairman obtained information from the candidates regarding the questions asked in the paper and also frisked some candidates.

The chairman also directed that this system of conducting the examination should be continued till the end of the examination.

BSEB Class 12 exams 2026 tomorrow

The second day of the BSEB Intermediate annual exam 2026, scheduled for tomorrow, the Mathematics paper will be conducted in the first shift for candidates of the Science and Arts stream.

In the second shift, the Political Science theory exam will be held for Arts students, while the foundation theory exam will be conducted for vocational course candidates. Bihar Board Class 12 exams 2026 will conclude on February 13.
