‘24×7 live education’: Bihar launches ‘Vidya Saathi’ facility for board exams, JEE, NEET preparation

The Bihar Board has launched a 24x7, one-on-one interactive platform, known as “Bihar Vidya Saathi,” for over 3 lakh students in 700 model schools across 38 districts of Bihar. The online facility was launched by the Bihar chief minister Samrat Choudhary today, in the presence of other officials.

The launch of the platform took place via video conferencing from the Sankalp Auditorium at Lok Sevak Awas.

Students in the model schools are being connected to the app in turn by a committee. Soon, all these 700 model schools will be covered with this 24x7, 1-to-1 interactive platform, the Bihar board press release said.

24×7 free education via 'Vidya Saathi' facility

All students of classes 9th-10th, as well as students of the science stream in classes 11th-12th, will be provided with live tutor support along with digital study materials for preparation for the Bihar Board, JEE, and NEET.

The platform will also offer guidance from 75,000 teachers, including AI-based concept learning, digital study materials, and preparation resources for the Bihar Board and competitive exams such as JEE and NEET.

Five-member special committee

As per the Times Now report, the Bihar government has constituted a five-member “special committee” to recommend reforms in the state’s examination system.

The committee will be headed by a retired Supreme Court judge or a serving or retired High Court judge and will review the existing exam framework. It will also suggest measures to improve transparency, efficiency, and the conduct of exams in the state. The committee will submit its recommendations to the state government within three months, the report suggests.

CM reaffirms credit card scheme worth Rs 4 lakh

Bihar education minister posted on his X account and reaffirmed the benefits of the credit scheme offered to students of the state. The student credit card of up to Rs 4 lakh is available for higher education and will continue as before.

“The Bihar Government is fully committed to the education of youth and their bright future. Financial resources will never be allowed to become an obstacle in the path of education,” the minister's post on X read in Hindi.

Notably, according to the Bihar board press release, it is also planning to implement the "Mera Vidyalaya Mera Swabhimaan" scheme to provide a platform for passed-out or former students of government schools in the state.
