BIMTECH's PGDM 2026-28 batch is 40% women, from diverse academic backgrounds; B-school welcomes 39th cohort

The Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) organised the induction ceremony, welcoming its batch of 2026-28. The 39th “Deeksharambh” event was held at the Greater Noida campus for the new batch of students enrolled for 2-year full-time programmes, including PGDM, PGDM (International Business), PGDM (Insurance Business Management), and PGDM (Retail Management).

The BIMTECH's new cohort has 40% women and 60% men enrolled in the PGDM programmes, along with a "rich mix of perspectives, experiences, and aspirations," BIMTECH said in an official statement.

Badari Narayana, executive director, Deloitte, India was the guest of honour at the BIMTECH welcome ceremony, while Arvind Bhandari, CEO and managing director, Goodyear India Ltd was the chief guest at the 39th Deeksharambh.

Highlighting the importance of education, character, authenticity, originality in the digital age, Bhandari said: "Your time in education is not just a preparation for a job; it is an opportunity to understand your strengths, shape your character, and cultivate a lifelong love for learning. In a world where information is readily available and technology is rapidly transforming industries, the qualities that will truly set you apart are curiosity, authenticity, originality, and self-assurance.”

The new cohort has students from all across India, including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi-NCR, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, and Punjab, and southern regions such as Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Assam, the management technology institute said.

BIMTECH's PGDM attracts students from engineering, commerce, science

“The current academic year has attracted students from diverse academic disciplines ranging from Commerce, Engineering, and Science to Humanities, Management, and beyond, highlighting the interdisciplinary appeal of the institute’s programmes,” it added.

The 39th orientation programme also included faculty interactions, academic briefings, and sessions introducing students to campus life, pedagogy, and institutional support systems. The initiative reinforced BIMTECH’s commitment to nurturing future-ready leaders equipped with analytical thinking, a global perspective, and industry relevance.
