The Birla Institute of Technology and Science admission test (BITSAT) 2026 session 1 exam is going to start from tomorrow, April 15, 2026. Candidates can download their hall ticket from the official website BITS Pilani of admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in. To access the BITSAT 2026 admit card, applicants need to enter their credentials like application number and password.

The BITSAT 2026 exam will be conducted in two sessions 1 and 2. The exam date for session 1 is April 15, 2026 & April 16, 2026 and for session 2 the exam will be conducted from May 24, 2026 to May 26, 2026.

According to the marking scheme, candidates will receive three marks for each correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. The question paper will be divided into four parts: Part 1 will include Physics with 30 questions, Part 2 will cover Chemistry with 30 questions, Part 3 will consist of 10 questions on English Proficiency and 20 questions on Logical Reasoning, and Part 4 will have 40 questions from Mathematics, making up the total of 130 questions.

BITSAT 2026: Exam guidelines

The BITSAT 2026 exam guidelines are as follows:

  • Carrying the BITSAT admit card on the exam day is mandatory; entry to the exam hall will not be allowed without it.

  • Candidates must also bring a valid photo ID proof along with the admit card for verification.

  • It is advisable to reach the exam centre at least 60 minutes before the reporting time, as late entry will not be permitted.

  • Candidates should carry two passport-size photographs, preferably the same as those uploaded during the application process.

  • No candidate will be allowed to leave the exam hall without submitting their OMR sheet to the invigilator.

  • Electronic items such as mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, and similar gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.

BITSAT 2026: Dress code

While there is no fixed dress code for the exam, applicants are advised to dress in simple and comfortable attire. Candidates should avoid wearing jewellery like heavy earrings or bangles and opt for basic slippers instead of shoes or boots. They should also ensure that their face is not covered, so carrying scarves or stoles is not recommended. Additionally, accessories such as hairpins, clutches, or belts should be avoided to prevent any inconvenience during the security check process.
