Board Exam 2024 Live: WB 10th exam begins today; Bihar 12th Maths exam guidelines

Students appearing for the board exam can carry their pen, school identity card and WB Class 10 admit card 2024 to the exam hall. Other than that electronic gadgets or any unfair means is not allowed in the examination hall.

The examination was conducted in two shifts- first shift from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and second shift from 2 pm to 5.15 pm.

The BSEB Class 12 exams will be conducted in two shifts from February 1 to February 12, 2024.

The board decided to provide ten sets of question papers for the examination. They will be named as A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I and J. With this approach, every 10 students will get a different set of question papers.

The WBBSE has successfully conducted the first exam of Class 10. The West Bengal Madhyamik exam was concluded at 1 PM. Students will appear for the next exam on February 3, 2024.

The board has successfully conducted the first shift exam of the intermediate students. The exam was over at 12:45 PM. Now, the second shift exam will begin at 2 PM.

• First Languages: Bengali, Hindi, English, Gujarati, Modern Tibetan, Gurmukhi (Punjabi), Nepali, Odia, Telugu, Tamil, Urdu, and Santali.

The Bihar Board has established a total of 1,523 examination centres in the 38 districts of the state. A total of 13,04,352 candidates registered for the exams, with 6,77,921 being boys and 6,26,431 being girls.

The West Bengal board has changed the WBBSE Madhyamik routine exam timing. Earlier, the exams were decided to be held from 11:45 am to 3 pm, which is now changed to 9:45 am to 1 pm. This subject encompasses a range of languages including Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Modern Tibetan, Nepali, Odia, Gurmukhi (Punjabi), Telugu, Tamil, Urdu, and Santali. The examination will be conducted from 9:45 am to 1 pm. 

On February 2, 2024, the Bihar Board scheduled the mathematics examination for both Science and Arts Stream students in the first shift. Also, in the second shift, Arts students will be appearing for the political science exam.

The BSEB Class 12 Biology examination consisted of a comprehensive set of 96 questions, all of which were derived from the prescribed syllabus. These questions were categorized into two sections, Section A and Section B.

• Section A: It comprised 70 objective-type questions, and students were expected to answer 35 of them. 
• Section B: It consisted of 20 short answer type questions, out of which students were required to attempt 10. Also, Section B encompassed 6 long answer-type questions, each carrying 5 marks. Students were instructed to choose any 3 questions from this section and provide detailed responses.

The Bihar Board has also provided a helpline number for students. In case of any issues, students can contact the committee's control room at either 0612-2232257 or 0612-2232227 to report their problems.

The BSEB Class 12 board examination for the second shift has concluded. The board administered the second shift examination from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. To ensure fair examinations without any malpractice, guidelines have been provided to install CCTV cameras at the examination venue and assign one videographer for every 500 candidates.

The use of mobile phones or electronic gadgets is prohibited at the examination centres.

• Except for the center superintendent, no candidate, invigilator and other officials/personnel will carry mobile phones in the examination hall.
• Bringing/using a calculator, mobile phone, Bluetooth, earphones, or other electronic gadgets, etc. into the examination center is prohibited.

Bihar Board inter-exam OMR answer sheet and answer book were made available to the candidates simultaneously.  The time for the collection of answer sheets from students by the invigilators will be as follows:-

In each district of the State, there have been established four model examination centers for the Bihar Intermediate Annual Examination, 2024. These centers have been specifically designated for female students, and all security personnel, including the deputed magistrate and inspector, will also be women at these examination centers.

A total of 78 examination centers have been established for the Bihar Intermediate Annual Examination, 2024 in the Patna district. These centers will accommodate a total of 77,012 students, comprising 36,524 female students and 40,488 male students.

There are a total of 41 examination centres set up in this district for the BSEB Inter examination. In Biharsharif, the examination is being held at 33 centers, while in Rajgir and Hilsa, there are 3 and 5 examination centers respectively. Of these 41 centers, 17 have been designated for girl students and 24 for boys.

The Bihar Board Inter Exam was conducted at 21 designated examination centers in the Munger district. This year, a total of 18,671 candidates appeared for the Inter annual examination. Among them, there were 9,003 female students and 9,668 boy students taking the intermediate exam. The Science Faculty had the highest number of participants with 12,381 candidates, followed by the Arts Faculty with 6,133 candidates, and the Commerce Faculty with 157 candidates.

The Bihar Inter examination has commenced with stringent arrangements at 23 examination centres in the district of Khagaria. A total of four model examination centres have been established.

More than 59 high schools and four sub-divisions in Sadar of Gaya district were designated as examination centers. On the first day, students from the Faculty of Science arrived to take the Biology examination during the first shift. At 9:15, question papers and answer sheets were distributed. The students were given fifteen minutes to read and comprehend the questions before beginning to write their answers on the provided answer sheets at 9:30.
