BPSC TRE 4.0: Board adds 932 posts for Classes 9 to 12; total vacancies rise to 33,320

BPSC has added 493 secondary and 439 higher secondary teacher posts through a corrigendum to Advertisement No. 15/2026
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has revised the vacancy count for the Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE) 4.0, increasing the total number of posts from 32,388 to 33,320. The commission has added 932 vacancies for school teachers in Classes 9 to 10 and Classes 11 to 12.
BPSC issued an important notice-cum-corrigendum related to Advertisement No. 15/2026, providing the revised subject-wise and category-wise vacancy details. The additional vacancies include 493 posts for Classes 9 to 10 and 439 posts for Classes 11 to 12.
The BPSC TRE 4.0 application process had started on September 25, with candidates allowed to apply online till October 26, 2026. The examination date has not yet been announced.

BPSC TRE 4.0 revised vacancy
The earlier 32,388 vacancies were distributed across four teaching levels. The 493 posts added for Classes 9 to 10 and 439 posts added for Classes 11 to 12 are detailed subject-wise and category-wise in the BPSC corrigendum. Following the latest revision, the class-wise vacancy position is:

As per the notice, school teachers appointed for Classes 9 to 10 will receive a basic monthly pay of Rs 31,000, along with other benefits prescribed by the state government. For Classes 11 to 12, the basic monthly pay is Rs 32,000, along with applicable benefits.
