Download EBookBSEB Class 10 Board Exam 2026: The Mathematics paper for Bihar Board's Matric Annual Examination 2026 was conducted smoothly across the state on February 18, 2026, with exams held at 1,699 centres in two shifts, said a Bihar Secondary Education Board (BSEB) statement. In Patna district, the exam was organised at 70 centres.
This year, a total of 15,12,687 students have registered to appear for the Matric Annual Examination 2026 across the state. Out of the total number of students, 7,85,726 are girls, and 7,26,961 boys.
BSEB Matric Annual Examination 2026: Exam timings
The examination took place from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm in the first shift and from 2 pm to 5:15 pm in the second shift.
The BSEB Class 10 Board Exam 2026 was conducted over three hours which included a 15 minute "cool-off" period. For Class 10 board exams the cool off time was 9:30 to 9:45 a.m.

BSEB Class 10 Board Exam 2026: Visually-impaired candidates
The Bihar Board made special provisions for visually-impaired candidates. Instead of mathematics, these students appeared for a 100-mark home science paper in the first shift. In addition, they were provided 20 extra minutes per hour beyond the prescribed duration of the examination to ensure a fair opportunity.
BSEB Class 10 Board Exam 2026: Six students expelled
According to the BSEB statement, on the second day, a total of six candidates were expelled from examination centres in Bhojpur district.
In addition, cases of impersonation were reported from two districts. In Banka district, two impersonators were caught while appearing in the examination in place of other candidates. Similarly, in Nawada district, one impersonator was apprehended for taking the exam on behalf of another student. In total, three impersonators were caught across the state.

Apart from these incidents, no other cases of expulsion or impersonation were reported from the remaining districts.
BSEB Class 10 Board Exam 2026: About third exam
The board will continue the examination schedule on the third day with Second Indian Language papers. These exams will also be conducted in two shifts-the morning session from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm and the afternoon session from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.
