The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad which is the conducting body of the CAT exam this year, will begin the CAT registration process form on August 4, at 10 am in online mode on the IIM CAT official website, iimcat.ac.in. The last date to fill CAT application form 2021 is September 15, 2021, at 5 pm and the CAT admit card will be released on October 27, 2021, at 5 PM.

The Common Admission Test (CAT 2021) will be held in computer-based mode on November 28, 2021, in three sessions. CAT application fee has been increased this year by Rs. 100 for SC/ ST/ PwD applicants and Rs. 200 for general category candidates. The official CAT notification briefly mentions the CAT eligibility criteria, exam date, start and end dates of CAT registration, etc.
CAT 2021 eligibility criteria
IIM Ahmedabad lays down the CAT eligibility criteria, which candidates are advised to meet to be eligible to apply for the CAT exam. No changes have been made to the eligibility criteria of CAT over the years.

Candidates who have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% of aggregated marks (45% for SC/ ST/ PwD) are eligible to apply for CAT 2021.

There is no age restriction to apply for the CAT 2021 exam.

Work experience is not mandatory to fill the CAT 2021 application form.

Steps to fill the CAT 2021 application form
Students interested in applying for CAT exam 2021 can follow the following steps to fill the CAT application form.
Step 1: Go to the official CAT 2021 website - iimcat.ac.in.
Step 2: Next, find and click on the link called the ‘New Candidate Registration’ on the right side of the CAT webpage.
Step 3: Then enter the required valid details in the CAT registration form.
Step 4: Next, click on the ‘Generate OTP’ button and enter the received OTP to log in and complete the CAT 2021 registration process.
Step 5: Then, start filling in the CAT exam application form 2021 with relevant information such as:

Upload required documents (in prescribed size and format)
Step 6: Fill in the qualification/ academic details of class 10/ SSC, class 12/ HSC, bachelor’s degree details, master’s degree details, and other professional degree details in the CAT form 2021.
Step 7: Next, enter the work experience details (if any). It is not mandatory to enter into the CAT exam form.
Step 8: Finally, pay the CAT application fee in online mode using a payment gateway.
Step 9: Submit the completed application form of CAT 2021 and take a printout of the same for your future use.
