NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad has begun CAT exam registration 2021 today, August 4, at 10 am at iimcat.ac.in. CAT 2021 application form is available only in online mode. Candidates can fill the CAT application form 2021 till September 15, at 5 pm. Students with a bachelor's degree in any discipline with 50 percent (45 percent of reserved category) aggregate marks are eligible to apply for MBA CAT 2021. In order to complete the CAT application process, students have to pay a CAT application fee of Rs 2200 for general and Rs 1100 for the SC/ ST/ PwD category.

The Common Admission Test (CAT 2021) will be held on November 28, 2021 (Sunday) in 158 cities across India. CAT exam will be conducted as a computer-based test (CBT) consisting of MCQ and non-MCQs from three sections- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), and Quantitative Aptitude (QA).

This year has seen a slight increase in CAT registration fees. An increase of Rs.200 for the general category and Rs.100 for the reserved category.
Also, candidates have an option to fill six options of CAT test cities while registering for the exam. CAT 2021 will be held in 158 cities at approximately 400 exam centres.

Only candidates who meet the CAT eligibility criteria can fill up the online CAT exam form. Due to the second wave of COVID-19 outbreak, students are advised to follow the required guidelines at the CAT exam centers.
Candidates are advised to check and adhere to the CAT 2021 eligibility criteria. If at any point any student is found to be ineligible for selection or IIM admission, their candidature will be canceled.
Academic qualification: Students should have a Graduation/ Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with 50% of aggregated marks (45% for SC/ ST/ PwD) from a recognized University/ Institute. Final year students are also eligible to apply for CAT 2021.
Age limit: There is no age restriction to fill the CAT exam 2021 application form.
Work experience: Applicants do not need to have prior work experience.
NOTE: It should be noted that during the Personal Interviews (PI), weightage is given by IIMs for this work experience.
If the degree is not recognized by MHRD/ AICTE/ UGC, the applicant will be considered ineligible for CAT 2021.
If the applicant is in the process of completing their professional degree (CS/ CA/ ICWA) without appearing for their bachelor's degree.
The candidate is studying for both their bachelor’s degree and professional degree but has not yet completed both.

Step 1: Go to the official CAT 2021 website - iimcat.ac.in.
Step 2: Then find and click the link called “New Candidate Registration” on the right middle of the page.
Step 3: Next, enter the required non-editable details to create the login credentials such as Name, Email ID, Phone number.
Step 4: After entered the details, click on the “Generate OTP” tab. The OTP will be sent to the registered email ID.

Step 6: Next, upload all the required documents/ images in a prescribed format and size.

The Common Admission Test (CAT 2021), is a national-level entrance examination. The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) started this CAT exam and conducted it for selecting students for their business administration programs (MBA/ PGDM). Apart from IIMs, CAT is a prerequisite for enrollment in many prestigious management colleges across India.
