CAT Exam 2021 Today: Guidelines to follow at CAT test centre

IIM CAT 2021 entrance exam is taking place today. IIM Ahmedabad has issued certain CAT exam day guidelines that are to be followed at the CAT 2021 examination centre.

NEW DELHI- The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad will conduct CAT 2021 entrance test today in three different slots, 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, and 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. At the CAT exam centre, candidates should not forget to carry their CAT admit card along with one valid photo ID proof for seeking entry. Candidates will have to follow all the CAT exam day instructions and guidelines laid down by the CAT 2021 examination centre.

CAT 2021 is a computer-based online test. There will be a total of 76 questions in the CAT exam. All these CAT questions will be asked from Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Aptitude (QA). A negative marks scheme is applicable in the CAT exam which means -1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

CAT 2021 exam day guidelines

In order to appear for CAT 2021 entrance test, candidates must report to the CAT test centre as per the time mentioned on the CAT admit card.

Entry will be closed as per the schedule mentioned in the CAT 2021 admit card.

Candidates are required to produce their CAT exam admit card for the verification process at the test centre. CAT admit card can be downloaded from the official website of IIM CAT, iimcat.ac.in.

A list of seat arrangements including the seat number will be available at the entrance of the CAT test centre.

Candidates will have to support in the frisking process at the entrance of the CAT exam centre

Candidates found indulging in any improper and unfair conduct at the time of the CAT exam will be disqualified.

During the CAT 2021 exam, any conversation with other candidates will be treated as a malpractice activity.

Candidates are not allowed to carry any electronic devices such as electronic watches, mobile phones, calculators etc in the exam hall.

Candidates must not wear any jewellery or any metallic items other than ball pens, wallets, papers, goggles etc are prohibited in the test centre.

There is no facility for the safekeeping of candidates personal belonging at the test centre

Candidates must maintain social distance from the point of entry at the CAT examination centre till exit from the premises.

Candidates must bring their face mask, personal hand sanitiser, gloves, and transparent water bottle.

Candidates must fill and sign the self-declaration form and show it to the exam invigilator

The body temperature of the candidate will be checked at the entrance by using thermo gun
About CAT 2021
The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a common aptitude test, which a candidate has to clear for admission to the MBA/ PGDM program by 20 IIMs or more than 1200 B-schools in India. Over two lakh candidates appear for the CAT entrance test annually. IIM Ahmedabad will release CAT 2021 result tentatively in the second week of January 2022.
