The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow is expected to release the CAT notification 2023 this weekend, most likely tomorrow, July 29, 2023. Last year, the IIM Bangalore released the official CAT notification on July 31. The CAT exam 2023 notification will briefly mention the eligibility criteria, selection process, CAT exam registration details, paper pattern, etc.

CAT notification date trend analysis
Every year, IIM releases the CAT notification in the last week of July. So, it can be expected this year too. IIM Lucknow last conducted CAT in 2017 and at that time the notification was released on July 29, Saturday. If the same trend follows this year, then the CAT 2023 notification is expected to be on July 29, 2023, Saturday.

Currently, everyone across the country has been vaccinated against COVID-19. Therefore, IIM Lucknow is likely to remove the mandatory submission of vaccination status. Also, IIML is expected to reduce the CAT exam centers as the exam authorities did earlier. In 2017, IIM Lucknow conducted the CAT exam in around 140 exam cities.
In the last year's notification, some changes were made in the fee for general, EWS, NC-OBC candidates from Rs 2,200 to Rs 2,300. For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the fee was increased from Rs 1,100 to Rs 1,150. The number of CAT test centres was also reduced from 156 to 150.
CAT registration 2023 is likely to commence on August 4, 2023, in online mode. Candidates will be able to fill out the CAT 2023 application by the second week of September 2023 at the official CAT 2023 website - iimcat.ac.in. Candidates with a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ ST/ PwD) are eligible to apply for CAT 2023.
Every year, more than 2 lakh candidates register for the Common Admission Test (CAT). The number of CAT registrations has steadily increased every year, indicating a growing interest in the exam. In 2021, 2,29,969 candidates, and in 2020, 2,27,835 candidates registered for the CAT exam.
The highest number of CAT registrations (2.55 lakhs) were in the year 2022, indicating a peak in popularity during that period. The rise in CAT registrations indicates a growing interest in pursuing a career in management.
