CAT 2024 exam today; paper timings, guidelines to follow

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta will conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 exam today, November 24. CAT 2024 exam will be held in three shifts- morning from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, afternoon from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm and evening shift from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

Candidates appearing for the exam can download the IIM CAT 2024 admit card from the official website, iimcat.ac.in. Candidates will have to use their login credentials such as registration ID and password to download the CAT 2024 admit card.

CAT 2024 exam day guidelines

• Candidates must carry CAT 2024 admit card and a photo ID issued by the government to prove your identity.
• If you applied under the PwD quota, you need extra documents: a medical certificate showing your disability and a scribe affidavit if you use one.
• If your name changed because of marriage, divorce, or something else, bring legal papers and a government-stamped proof of your name change.
• Don’t bring electronic gadgets, things that aren’t allowed, or food/drink to the exam place.
• Follow safety rules and dress codes, come early, and do what the people in charge tell you to do.

After CAT results are announced, IIMs shortlist candidates based on entrance test scores, academic records, and work experience. The IIM selection process also include a Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and a Personal Interview (PI) to assess communication and critical thinking skills.
