NEW DELHI: Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) conducts the Common Admission Test (CAT 2024) for candidates seeking admission to various management programmes of IIMs. The CAT notification 2024 and application form is expected to be issued soon on the official admission portal at iimcat.ac.in, as per past trends. Candidates should note that the admission policy differs for IIMs.
Last year, IIM CAT exam registration began on August 2. As per past trends, the CAT information bulletin is expected to be notified soon and the application form 2024 process is likely to start on July 31. The brochure will have detailed information on registration process, eligibility criteria, reservation and selection policies.
The CAT exam will be held in November and the results are usually declared by the last week of December. Following this, selected candidates will have to either appear for further rounds of admission as announced by the respective IIM.
As per the eligibility criteria, candidate who hold a bachelor’s degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA and 45% in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories, awarded by any recognised university will be eligible to apply. Those who are in the final year of UG programmes will also be eligible to appear in the entrance exam.
