Follow these steps to calculate CAT 2021 percentile 

Step 1:  Know the total number of candidates (N) who appeared for CAT

Step 2: Assign a rank (r), based on the scaled scores obtained in the QA section, to all candidates who appeared for CAT exam 2021. In the case of two or more candidates obtaining identical scaled scores in the QA section, assign identical ranks to all those candidates.

Step 3: Calculate the percentile score (P) of a candidate with rank (r) in the QA section as: P = [(N − r)/N] x 100

Step 4: Round off the calculated percentile score (P) of a candidate up to two decimal points

The IIM CAT cutoff is  up to 99 to 100 percentile for General category students. For the reserved category students who appeared in CAT, the cutoff of CAT 2021 is slightly lower at 97 to 98 percentile. CAT 2021 cut off percentile for each institute will depend on various factors such as difficulty level of CAT exam, number of students who appeared in CAT 2021, number of seats available etc.

As per the CAT exam pattern and going by past year trends, candidates will get three marks for each correct answer. And for every incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted. There is no mark awarded or deducted for unattempted questions in CAT 2021 exam.

The CAT cutoff for IIM is normally in the range of 99 to 100 percentile for General category students. For the reserved category students who appeared in CAT, the cutoff of the CAT 2021 exam is slightly lower, generally at 97 to 98 percentile.

• Click on the objection form  
• Select the question number
• Add required details, upload images and pay the fee
