CAT 2024: IIMs start admission process; category-wise CAT cut-offs for general, OBC, EWS, SC, ST

Use NowNEW DELHI: The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have started the application process for admission into postgraduate programmes in management through CAT 2024 score. IIM Calcutta recently declared the Common Admission Test (CAT 2024) results for around 3 lakh candidates and around 14 scored a perfect score of 100 percentile.

The top management colleges in India, IIMs, admit students based on their performance in CAT, personal interview, written ability test (WAT), group discussion, and work experience. However, the selection criteria for each IIMs may differ.
While IIM Rohtak and IIM Mumbai have allotted 60% weightage for CAT score, IIM Bangalore has given only 25% weightage for the MBA entrance exam marks. IIM Kozhikode has revised its admission criteria and reduced the weightage for Class 10 marks by 10% from 25% to 15% this year.
