The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad is all set to conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021 this Sunday, November 28, 2021. This MBA admission entrance exam will be conducted in three shifts of 120 minutes (2 hours) each in computer-based mode at over 159 test cities across the country. The CAT conducting authority has released the guidelines and instructions to be followed by the students on exam day. Students can only appear for the CAT at the session and centre mentioned on their CAT 2021 admit card, and if any student attempts to appear in multiple sessions, their candidature will be cancelled.

Students must undergo a testing process upon entering the CAT exam centre. Upon completion of the testing process, students will be appearing for the document verification process in which the CAT 2021 admit card (photo affixed), original photo ID proof, and other documents as required will be checked.

CAT 2021 exam day instructions

A writing pad and pen will be provided inside the CAT exam centre for rough work.

Students must reach the CAT exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned in the CAT 2021 admit card.

Students are advised not to sign the CAT exam admit card beforehand. The admit card should be signed inside the exam hall in front of the invigilator.
CAT Exam 2021: IRIS/ Photo registration process
Students must proceed with the IRIS and photo registration process. In this process, the candidate's IRIS will be scanned and photographed. During this process, applicants must remove their glasses/ contact lenses. Upon completion of this process, the applicants will sign the attendance sheet.
Steps to download CAT admit card 2021
On the day of the MBA entrance examination, students should carry their CAT admit card for seeking entry and other verification purposes. Follow the below steps in order to download the admit card of CAT 2021:

Step-I: Go to the official IIM CAT website, iimcat.ac.in or Click here .

Step-II: Then, find and click on the “Login” button from the Registered Candidate Login section.

Step-III: It will ask the candidates to enter their valid user ID and password.

Step-IV: After entering the required details, click on the login button.

Step-V: The page will redirect to the dashboard. From there, choose the “CAT 2021 admit card download” link.

Step-VI: Finally, your required CAT hall ticket will be displayed on the screen.

Step-VII: Click on download and save it as a PDF on your computer
Document to carry at the CAT exam centre
There will be no facility to protect the personal belongings of the candidates at the CAT examination center. Therefore, take only the required items like a CAT admit card, valid identity proof (Aadhar card/ Voter ID card/ PAN card/ Driving Licence/ College ID/ Employer ID) to the exam center.
NOTE: The Student’s signature and photograph should be legibly printed and visible on the original photo ID card and should match with the name on the CAT 2021 admit card.
A medical certificate would be required in the case of a student using pacemaker/ implants (metal)/ other devices for medical reasons.
