CAT Exam 2021: Admit card releasing tomorrow; 5 points to keep in mind

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, will be releasing the CAT Admit Card 2021 tomorrow, October 27. Candidates can download the CAT 2021 admit card online from the official IIM CAT website i.e. iimcat.ac.in. CAT admit card release time is 5 pm and will be available for download for candidates who have successfully filled the form for this MBA entrance test.

CAT 2021 examination will be held on November 28 in 159 cities and 400 test centres across India. As per the official records, around 2.31 lakh students have registered for the CAT exam 2021. For downloading the IIM CAT admit card, candidates will need their CAT 2021 login Id and password.

CAT Admit Card 2021: Login credentials required

The CAT 2021 user ID and password sent to the candidate on their registered email Id after the registration will be needed to download the CAT 2021 hall ticket. It is to be noted that the CAT registration number and registered user id for CAT 2021 are the same. In case these credentials are incorrect or lost, candidates will not be able to download the CAT exam admit card.

How to download CAT exam admit card

Step 1 - For downloading CAT 2021 admit card, visit IIMs’ official website - iimcat.ac.in

Step 2 - Login using CAT 2021 application number and password

Step 3 - Search for CAT admit card download tab in the student’s login, click the link

Step 4 - Download CAT IIM admit card

Take the CAT to admit card printout for future reference. Remember, candidates will be required to show a CAT exam hall ticket to seek entry in the examination hall.

1. Verify CAT admit card details

After downloading the CAT Exam Admit Card, candidates must verify the details mentioned on it. Below is the brief list of all the details that you must cross-verify -

• Name of the Candidate

• CAT Registration Number

• Date of Birth

• Category

• PwD/DA Status

• Date, Time, Day and session of the CAT exam

• CAT Test Center and city

2. Contact CAT Helpline for rectification of errors

If there is any discrepancy in the details mentioned on the CAT 2021 Hall ticket, then candidates must get it rectified by the concerned authorities. Otherwise, at a later stage, additional verification documents will be required, which might be unavailable. 3. Affix colored photograph on CAT admit card

It is mandatory to affix their coloured passport-sized photograph on the CAT admit card 2021. However, candidates need not require a coloured printout of the CAT admit card. Though it is advisable to use the same photograph you submitted in the application form, even if you don’t have that, any of your photographs will do.

4. Get your Government ID proof

Candidates must carry the CAT hall ticket and a Government photo ID proof at the CAT examination venue to get entry into the examination hall. Thus, it is advisable to get your Government ID proof handy well in advance, so that there is no last minute search for the same. It is to be noted that Government photo ID proof will be accepted such as a PAN Card which has your photograph on it.

5. Appear for CAT mock tests

Post downloading and cross-verifying the details start appearing for the mock test as per CAT 2021 exam session. This will help candidates to get used to sitting for long hours particularly during the exam hours and manage time.
