CBSE Class 10 result 2025 will be declared for five core subjects including English, mathematics, science, social science, and a language along with a sixth optional subject. The marks of students in internal assessment will also be used.
In a first, CBSE introduced CCTV policy in board exams 2025 to ensure transparency and fair conduct of exams. Schools fixed as examination centres were asked to have cameras mandatorily. CBSE 10th board exams 2025 were held under the surveillance of CCTV cameras. The board also banned the use of ChatGPT and mobile phones during board exams and barred dummy students from taking the exam.
As per the CBSE Class 10 subject-wise marks distribution, each subject has been allotted a total of 100 marks distributed amongst theory, practical exams, project, and internal assessment. In almost every subject in Class 10th, the theory exam carries 80 marks and IA carries 20.
This year, the board didn’t change the composition of Class 10 question papers which comprised multiple-choice questions, case-based questions, short answer and long answer questions. However, the board extended the relaxation for students with basic mathematics in Class 10 to study mathematics in 11th till the 2024-25 academic session.
Yet another year, CBSE Board will not be announcing the names of Class 10 toppers 2025 to avoid ‘unhealthy’ competition amongst students. Those who fail in one or two subjects will be allowed to take supplementary exams.
Last year, the highest number of students, 22.51 lakh, appeared for the CBSE Class 10 exams while 20.95 were declared pass recording the pass percentage at 93.60%.
