NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the CBSE 12th term 1 result today, on March 19, 2022. CBSE Class 12 students will not be able to check the CBSE term 1 result on the CBSE official website cbseresults.nic.in. Instead, students are required to contact their respective schools to know the CBSE Class 12th result 2022 term 1 scores, as the board has mailed the CBSE 12th term 1 result to the schools.

The CBSE is referring to the scores shared with schools as “performance” and not “results”, as the final results are supposed to include total marks of term-1, term-2 exams and practicals and internals. According to a circular released by CBSE, the board has shared with the schools only the theory performance of the Class 12 students in a collective manner. CBSE further said that the performance shared by it is based on the details uploaded by the schools, and where the assessment was not done by the schools, performance, based on OMR sheet scanning has been shared.

The CBSE 12th result 2022 which has been released now contains only the score in the term 1 MCQ examination. Hence, students will not get to see details like pass or fail in the term 1 result. Such details would be available in the final result which will be announced after the CBSE term 2 examinations.
CBSE has informed that the performance of those students who missed their exams due to Covid or participation in national or international olympiads or sports etc. has not been shared with the schools. The board will assess their performance based on their performance in the CBSE Class 12 term 2 exams. Since this is just the term 1 result, CBSE has not issued any mark sheet cum passing certificate. These will be issued after the term 2 exams, said the board.
If students have any dispute regarding the result, they can communicate with the schools. Schools can send the combined dispute to CBSE. The online dispute redressal mechanism will be available till March 31.
CBSE has scheduled to conduct the CBSE term 2 examinations from April 26 onwards. The date sheet for the CBSE term 2 exam for Classes 10, 12 has been released by the board. The internal marks of the students will be added along with the term 2 marks, which will form the final result.
