NEW DELHI: The Punjab cabinet has passed a proposal for providing 25,000 government jobs by approving notification of 25,000 job vacancies within one month. Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann, said in a tweet that the Punjab government intends to recruit individuals to 10,000 vacancies in the Punjab police department and another 15,000 vacancies in other government departments. According to him, the notification for the same will be issued within a month.
“Chaired the first cabinet meeting. The Punjab cabinet has approved notification of 25,000 job vacancies within one month. As we promised before the election, jobs opportunities for our Punjab's youth will be the topmost priority of AAP Govt,” said Mann in the Twitter post.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won the Punjab Assembly Elections 2022, by winning 92 out of the 117 assembly seats. Mann was sworn in as the Punjab chief minister on March 16.
