The dates of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2026 are February 17, 2026, through April 10, 2026. There are 48 days until the first CBSE Class 12 board test day, which is February 17, 2026.  The date sheet was first made public by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on October 30, 2025. On December 30, 2025, a little update pertaining to a particular topic was posted.

For winter-bound institutions, the CBSE board held the 12th class practical exams from November 6 to December 6, 2025; for other schools, the exams will begin on January 1, 2025.

Winter-bound institutions took the CBSE Class 12 practical exam last year from November 5 to December 5, 2024, while all other CBSE-affiliated schools took the test from January 1 to February 14, 2025.

Exams for CBSE Class 12 will take place from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The majority of the key subjects—Physics, Chemistry, Math, English Core, Accounts, Business Studies, etc.—have three-hour papers that end at 1:30 PM. Certain art/music papers, as well as other vocational areas, are examples of shorter papers that last two hours and conclude at 12:30 PM.  

Students receive the question paper at 10:15 AM and have 15 minutes to peruse it before they can begin writing at 10:30 AM. To complete the necessary paperwork, students must arrive at the testing location at least 30 to 45 minutes before the exam's start time, which is approximately 9:45 AM.

On December 29, 2025, the CBSE issued an official webpage and rescheduled the Class 12 CBSE Board examination. The CBSE 12 exams will start on February 17 and continue till April 10, 2026. Students can go to the official website at cbse.gov.in to download the CBSE 12th date sheet PDF 2026 online.
