NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) cautioned affiliated schools against a fake email related to teacher training in artificial intelligence and python asking for sensitive information. The board clarified that it has not sent any such mail and asked schools to ignore the message.

According to the board, schools received an email captioned “As per CBSE official syllabus free teacher’s training on AI (practicals) and advanced python” which also promised that participants of the training will be getting books on AI and python.

“It has come to the notice of the Central Board of Secondary Education that a few CBSE affiliated schools are in receipt of email(s) captioned "As per CBSE official Syllabus Free Teacher's Training on AI (Practicals) and Advance Python". It also mentions that participants will receive a complimentary book on AI and Python,” the board said in a disclaimer.

The board informed that the email asked schools to fill a Google form asking for sensitive information, including details of trustees, CBSE city coordinators, and the strength of the school.

“Please be advised that CBSE has not issued any such email. We urge you to ignore and delete any such communication to protect your personal and professional information,” the board told schools.

Recently, CBSE advised students, parents and teachers against certain online portals and websites circulating outdated links and unverified news related to sample question papers, curriculum, CBSE resources, and activities.
