NEW DELHI: Central Board of Secondary Education has concluded the Class 10 board exam 2021-22 today at 1 pm for Social Science. The paper had a total of 60 MCQ based questions. The question number 40 had the same options for A and C, claimed a Twitter user (@Prakhardoneria2) in a tweet.

CBSE 10th exams are being held for major subjects. As per CBSE Class 10 exam time table 2021, major exams will conclude on December 11, 2021 with English subjects. As per CBSE term 1 date sheet 2021-22, the exams was held from 11:30 am to 1 pm for most of the subjects.
Major exams are being conducted by CBSE board while minor exams are held through respective schools. For minor exams, the board provides question paper and schools hold exam for their students. These papers have MCQ based questions.

CBSE commenced Class 10 term-1 exams today with social science subject. More than 21 lakh students sat for exam, according to an official statement.
CBSE has started Class 10 term 1 exams 2021 for major subjects today. 33 lakh OMR sheets at over 13,000 centres have been checked the same day, it said in an official statement.

As per CBSE passing criteria, students should obtain a minimum of 33% in each subject to pass the class 10th exam.
"One has to read the NCERT book thoroughly and I would say the questions are less from sample papers etc. But this is the first time that CBSE is conducting such an exam. I believe from the next batch onward that is those who will be appearing next year onward will not have much of a problem because by then there will be sample question papers based on the present format," said Ayush

The Somaiya School Principal Parveen Shaikh said, "The CBSE has created a very user friendly system for conducting the exams for grades 10and 12. They have trained the heads for the same and it is happening very seamlessly. All the queries are getting resolved quickly and there is ample support from the CBSE city coordinator. I personally feel, this should be the norm for future as well. The social science paper had a good mix of questions catering to all kinds of students. Students are happy with the offline examination. They are comfortable with having the examination in school. After this paper, students are confident for the remaining papers.

As per a report of India Today, Soumi Basu, a senior teacher of Political Science said that an average students should be able to score 55 out of 80 in the theory paper.
As per NDTV Seema Behl, Principal, Brain International School said, "The paper was easy and balanced. The stress was given on History section, however, equal weightage provided on other sections. Question number 40 in the paper has same choices, and the langugae in some questions were bit twisted."

If the board released social science answer key then it will be available on cbse official website, cbse.gov.in. Students can also download unofficial CBSE answer key 2021 class 10 from various coaching's official website.
CBSE concluded the Social Science exam. The paper consists four sections as Section-A had 24 questions and out of them, students needed to attempt only 20 questions. In section B, students had to attempt 18 questions out of 22 questions. In section C, only 10 questions must be answered out of 12 questions. Section D consisted of 2 map-based compulsory questions.
The board has concluded the first term 1 CBSE Class 10 major paper exam today at 1 pm. CBSE Class 10 board exam 2021 term 1 for second major subject will be conducted for Science on December 2, 2021.

According to Swapnil Gupta, a class 10 student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Masjid Moth, "The paper was balanced, the questions were not at all tough. One who solved NCERT well, can expect a good score," NDTV reported.

CBSE Class 10 students waiting for Social Science answer key to cross check the answers. The board will release the answer key or result in January 2022, tentatively. Till then, students can check the answers from the unofficial answer key of social science, which will be released by various coaching centers.
As per CBSE Class 10 term 1 date sheet, the board will conduct Hindustani Music (Vocal), Hindustani Music (Mel Ins), and Hindustani Music (Per Ins) exam tomorrow i.e. December 1, 2021.
