NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has revised the result of 28,130 students after students claimed that the CBSE Class 10 Odia question paper had several errors and grace marks have not been provided for the same.

The CBSE had responded to the tweets of students saying that it has provided an online dispute redressal mechanism for students, parents and teachers to raise objections against CBSE term 1 result 2021-22 at cbse.gov.in till March 26.

An expert committee was also constituted by the board to examine the discrepancies raised by students in CBSE Class 10 term 1 results 2021-22.

“The Committee submitted its report at 6 PM on March 14, 2022 and based on the report of the expert committee, the CBSE has evaluated the OMRs of Odia Class 10 with the correct answer key approved by the expert committee. The revised performance of students has been since sent to the concerned schools for onward information of the students. A total of 28310 students have benefitted as a result of this revision,” said an official notification from the board.

On a serious dispute being brought to the notice of the union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan on March 14 regarding the answer key of Odia Class 10 it was directed by him that the dispute must be resolved within the next 24 hours and students’ grievances addressed immediately and appropriately, CBSE said.

The performance of students in Class 10 term-1 examinations was communicated to the respective schools through email by CBSE on March 11. CBSE also made available a Dispute Redressal Mechanism on the same day, the board further said.
