NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release CBSE board exam 2021 dates for class 12 on June 1, 2021, government sources told NDTV. The central government is inclined to conduct CBSE Class 12 board exam 2021, so these exams will be held. But, state governments are free to decide on the respective class 12 board exam 2021.

CGBSE board has already decided how the board will conduct its exams. This year, Chhattisgarh board class 12 exams will be held in open book exam mode. Students will write exams in their home and will submit answer sheets at their respective schools.
Along with the CBSE exam 2021 decision, the central government decided that major entrance exams for undergraduate engineering and medicine i.e. JEE Main and NEET respectively will be held as well, the report adds.
The decision was taken in a high-level meeting chaired by the union defence minister, Rajnath Singh and a group of ministers. The meeting was also attended by all state/UTs education ministers and chairpersons of state education boards.
CBSE Class 12 Board exam 2021 new format
The exam pattern of the CBSE 12th class exam is expected to change into the short-format type, sources told NDTV. There were two proposals: either conduct exams for major subjects only or conduct exams in schools with objective type paper of shorter duration.
Delhi’s deputy CM, Manish Sisodia said that several states opposed this proposal and demanded ‘zero exams’. He also said the central government to vaccinate the Class 12 students before conducting the exams.
