NEW DELHI: A high-level virtual meeting on Class 12 board exam 2021, JEE Main, NEET and entrance exams for admission to professional courses held today. Two options were proposed before the states. Either conduct exams for major subjects or conduct exams with some changed in the exam pattern. Several states opposed the centre's proposal of conducting exams and demanded 'zero exams'.

CBSE 12th board exam 2021 will be held and exam dates will be announced on June 1, government sources told NDTV. JEE Main and NEET exam will also be held for admission to undergraduate courses.
Union defence minister, Rajnath Singh chaired this meeting with all states and UT’s education ministers and Chairpersons of state education boards.

In the meeting, it has been decided that the CBSE class 12 exam 2021 will be conducted. Central Board of Secondary Education will release CBSE 12th exam dates on June 1, government sources told NDTV.
For state board exams, state governments will decide on the conduct of their respective board exams for class 12. Students should keep checking their respective board's website to get updates on their exam dates.
Deputy chief minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia told in today's meeting that the central government to vaccinate class 12 students before the board exams so that exams can be held smoothly.
The central government should consult health experts, if the current vaccine of India is suitable for 17.5-year-old students then 1.5 crore students must be vaccinated on priority.
If the Delhi government gets the required vaccine for 17.5-years-old students, then we can complete this vaccination in two days. Watch the press conference below to know more.
JEE Main 2021 has been conducted for February and March session. April and May session Joint Entrance examination was postponed amid COVID-19 pandemic.
Manish Sisodia said in a press conference that several states opposed the centre's plan of holding exams and demanded no exams to be conducted. Around 8-10 states agreed that students should be vaccinated before conducting any exam.
There were two proposals:
First: Take exams only for major subjects. If there are a total of 200 subjects, take 20 subjects. give marks of other subjects based on these 20 marks. Other things of exams should remain same.
Second: Take exams with some changes in the examination pattern. Exams to be held in schools. Paper should contain objective type questions and duration should be 1.5 hour instead of 3 hours. The copies of students should be checked at school level only, said Delhi's Education Minister Manish Sisodia. Delhi Government is opposed to both he said.

The decision on CBSE exam 2021 is yet to be taken by the board. Students are continuously demanding for cancellation of exams. Some students also shared funny memes on exam cancellation.

Class 12 board exam decision of UP board is still awaited. Earlier, it was expected that a final decision regarding UP board exam 2021 will be made after May 20, 2021. But as of now, no decision has been taken. Students must keep checking this page to get all updates.

CBSE Class 12 board exam 2021 meeting is still ongoing. All ministers and officials are sharing their proposals. Before other board, CGBSE has made a decision to conduct class 12 exams at homes. Students do not need to visit the exam centre for writing the exam.
CGBSE has decided to hold Class 12 exams at students homes. The exams will take place from June 1 to 5, 2021. Students can collect answer sheets and question papers from their respective schools and exam centres. After solving and writing the paper within 5 days, submit the answer sheets at respective schools.

General Secretary of Indian National Congress, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra tweeted that the health and safety of students matter more. Students are dealing with stress in this COVID-19 time. The mental health of children is as important as their physical well being, she added.
"In any case expecting children who are already under immense pressure to sit for their exams wearing all sorts of protective gear for hours at a stretch day after day is insensitive and unfair," she said.

West Bengal education minister Bratya Basu has said that Class 10 and 12 board exams 2021 will be held in the state after the COVID-19 crisis is contained. Earlier, Class 10 exams were scheduled between June 1 and 10, 2021. While Class 12 exams 2021 were slated to be held from June 15 to July 2, 2021.
Earlier, the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has postponed the 10th board exam 2021. After that, the Karnataka education minister has clarified that no decision for cancelling SSLC and Class 12 board exam 2021 has been made. However, these exams were postponed amid rising cases of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Class 12 board exam 2021 meeting will begin at 11:30 am. After 20 minutes, the education minister and secretaries will talk about various proposals on conduct the 12th board exam, JEE Main, NEET and other entrance exams. Earlier, the education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' held a meeting with education secretaries. He discussed the impact of COVID-19 in the education sector.
The pending CBSE class 12 board exams 2021 were also discussed in the meeting. The minister asked the states to give suggestions for the conducting of class 12th board exam.
In today's meeting, the ministers will explore the various possible options for conducting the 12th board exam 2021. All board officials give their proposals regarding it.

Jammu and Kashmir Board has postponed the ongoing JK 12th board exam 2021 due to the pandemic situation. Exams scheduled between April 1 and April 15 were conducted successfully and exams between April 16 and 29, 2021 were postponed by the board. Read more.
Along with this, Class 10 board exam 2021 were cancelled and students will be promoted to the next class.
In April, the Haryana board postponed the HBSE Class 12 exam due to COVID-19. The new dates of HBSE 12th board exam are yet not announced. The board has postponed Maharashtra 12th board exam 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, students are continuously demanding for cancellation of HSC exams. The decision regarding the Maharashtra board HSC exam 2021 is expected to be taken in the last week of May.
Earlier, the exams were scheduled between April 23 and May 21, 2021. New, dates are yet to be announced.
Today, there is no official update is available. Earlier, the board was about to take a decision after May 20 regarding UP board 12th exam 2021. Now, the board is expected to make an announcement after the today's 12th board exam meeting.
A recent update from a UPMSP official is available here regarding the Class 10 UP board exam 2021. On asking about the decision regarding UP 10th board exam 2021, the official said that no decision has been taken yet.
Earlier, there was a fake viral date sheet that was refuted by the board. The board also released an official notification on upmsp.edu.in.
As per a recent report, an official has told that the board has not decided any date for exams. Earlier, Rajasthan board exam 2021 class 12 were scheduled between May 6 and May 29, 2021, while Class 10 RBSE exam 2021 were about to be held from May 6 to 27, 2021.
But, these exams were postponed due to COVID-19. Yet, no new date is available. Students should keep checking the official website to know all RBSE board exam 2021 latest news and updates.
The press release of Press Information Bureau says that the meeting is being held to talk about board exams and entrance exams for professional courses.

As of now, Class 10th exams have been cancelled for most of the states and Class 12 stands postponed. No board has cancelled the Class 12 board exam 2021.
