Candidates are advised to arrive at their examination centres by 9:30 am. The board will provide a 15-minute reading time from 10:15 am to 10:30 am, during which students can read the question paper before beginning to write their answers. As per the CBSE rules, no student will be allowed to enter the exam hall after 10:00 am.
The Class 12 History paper carries a total of 100 marks, consisting of an 80-mark theory exam and 20 marks allotted for internal assessment.
To pass the CBSE Board Exams 2026, students must secure at least 33% marks in each subject, including the theory, practical, and internal assessment components. For subjects that involve practical work, candidates must also pass both the theory and practical sections separately and obtain a minimum Grade D.
After the exam concludes, students can check unofficial answer keys and solved papers shared by coaching institutes and subject experts to estimate their probable scores.
Students appearing for the CBSE Class 12 History board exam must strictly follow the below instructions issued by the board to avoid any inconvenience on the exam day.
Candidates should reach the examination centre 30–45 minutes before the reporting time to complete entry formalities without hassle.
Entry will not be allowed once the reporting time is over, so students must arrive on time.
It is mandatory to carry the CBSE-issued admit card to the exam centre.
Students without a valid admit card will not be permitted to take the examination.
The question paper and answer booklet will be distributed 15 minutes before the exam begins.
During the reading period, candidates should carefully read the question paper and fill in all required details on their answer sheets before starting the exam.
