From 95.2% to 100%: CBSE Class 12 topper Avni Kejriwal's marks rise after re-evaluation

Avni Kejriwal, a Class 12 student from Ranchi, reportedly scored a perfect 500 out of 500 marks after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) re-evaluation process, according to a report by The Indian Express.

Avni, a student of Delhi Public School (DPS) in Ranchi, first scored 95.2% when the CBSE Class 12 results were announced on May 13. She felt that her marks in some subjects were lower than expected, so she asked for her answer sheets to be rechecked.

Speaking to IE , Avni said she had received 81 marks in English and 95 marks in Business Studies in the original CBSE Class 12 result.

Marks revised from 95.2% to 100%

"I had scored 95.2% before the CBSE 12th re-evaluation. I got 81 marks in English and 95 in Business Studies. I have always done well in English at school, so we felt that the marks should be checked again," Avni told IE .

After the re-evaluation, Avni's marks were increased, giving her a perfect score of 500 out of 500 in all five subjects. This achievement could place her among the top scorers in the CBSE Class 12 exams across the country, the report said.

"My family was happy with my marks, but I was not. I waited for the CBSE re-evaluation application page to open and then applied for a review. After the re-evaluation, my score increased to 500 out of 500. I am very happy with the result," Avni said.

Aavni Kejriwal CBSE Topper: Study strategy

Talking about her study strategy, Avni told The IE that she focused on completing her daily study goals instead of keeping track of how many hours she studied.

"If I set a goal to finish two or three topics in a day, I make sure to complete them. I do not focus on how many hours it takes," she said.

She also advised students to use social media wisely and make sure it does not disturb their studies.

Avni said that she wants to continue her studies and start her own business in the future.

DPS principal praises achievement

Congratulating Avni, DPS Ranchi Principal Jaya Chauhan said that her success showed her hard work, dedication, and focus.
