NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will issue the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) answer key 2024 for the December session exam soon. Candidates who appeared for the exam will be able to download the CTET December 2024 answer key through the official website, ctet.nic.in.
Aspirants will have to use their login credentials such as roll number and date of birth to download the CTET 2024 answer key. CBSE will provide the candidates with an opportunity to challenge the provisional answer key within a specific deadline.
The December session of the CTET exam was conducted on December 14 in two shifts. Paper 2 exam was held in the first shift from 9:30 am to 12 noon and paper 1 from 2:30 pm to 5 pm in the second shift.
In order to pass the exam, candidates from the general category need to obtain a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. Applicants from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories are required to secure at least 55% aggregate marks.
CTET is administered twice a year to determine the eligibility for appointment as a teacher for Classes 1 to 5 and Classes 6 to 8 in the participating schools.

There are no limits on the number of attempts for the CTET exam 2024. Candidates can attempt the exam even after qualifying the exam to improve their CTET scores.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not yet announced the CTET 2024 result date. However, the CTET 2024 is expected to be out by January 20.
The CTET 2024 includes- paper 1 and paper 2. CTET 2024 paper 1 is for candidates who want to teach Classes 1 to 5 and paper 2 is for candidates who want to teach Classes 6 to 8.
CTET answer key 2024 date and time are yet to be announced by CBSE. Candidates will able to download the CTET answer key at ctet.nic.in, once it is out.
To qualify the CTET 2024, general category candidates must secure a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. Candidates from the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories need to score at least 55% in aggregate.
To challenge and raise objections on the CTET 2024 questions, the candidates are required to pay a CTET 2024 answer key objection fee of Rs 1,000 per question challenged.
The registered candidates, who will be able to qualify the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) and meet the CTET 2024 cut-off will be provided the CTET eligibility certificate by the CBSE.
What is a good score for a candidate for CTET 2024?
Registered candidates scoring between 90 and 95 will have high chance of clearing the exam and considered to be good score.
As per the minimum qualifying criteria for CTET 2024, the general category students need to score 60 percent with 90 marks and the SC, ST, OBC candidates have to obtain 55 percent with 82 marks out of 150.

The CTET certificate will be valid for appointment for life time for the candidates of all categories. There is no restriction on the number of attempts to take the exam for acquiring a CTET certificate.
As per the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the minimum qualifications for a candidate to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for Class 1 to Class 8 is to pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the government's in accordance with the guidelines framed by the NCTE.
