CBSE Exam 2020: Decision on remaining Class 12 exams likely today

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will inform the Supreme Court about its decision on pending Class 12 exams on Thursday.

The CBSE board exams were postponed due to the outbreak of coronavirus earlier were rescheduled to be conducted between July 1 and 15.

However, amid the rising number of COVID-19 positive cases across the country, parents and students of Class 10 and 12 have demanded the cancellation of exams.

Depending on the decision of CBSE, the ICSE board is also likely to announce its decision on conducting Class 10 exams.

NEET 2020 and JEE 2020

The dates for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, or NEET and Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Mains will also be changed depending on the Class 12 board exams.

The engineering entrance test, JEE Main 2020, is scheduled from July 18-23 and the medical entrance exam, NEET 2020, links behind each of these. will be held on July 26.

Earlier, the deputy chief minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia had written to the human resource development minister to cancel the exam.

Schools in Delhi are being utilised as quarantine facilities and for relief work making it difficult for exams to be conducted in the proposed schedule.
