CBSE invites applications for CSS scholarship from college, university students
The candidates can visit the portal for applying for fresh scholarship and also for the renewal of existing scholarships. Apply before November 30.

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education, (CBSE) has invited applications for the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship (CSSS) from college and university students.
The online application for CSSS is available for the year 2021 on the national scholarship portal (NSP), www.scholarships.gov.in. The candidates can renew their scholarship on the portal, the first renewal for the year 2020, second for 2019, 3rd for 2018, and 4th for 2017 is also available on the portal. The candidates can visit the portal for applying for fresh scholarship and also for the renewal of existing scholarships.
The last date for submission of an online application form of both fresh scholarship and renewal is November 30.

The Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students is implemented by the Department of Higher Education since 2008 with an aim of providing financial assistance to the meritorious students, to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies.
The rate of scholarship is Rs. 10000 per year for students pursuing their graduation for first three years of college and university courses and Rs. 20000 per year at postgraduate level. Students pursuing technical courses are paid Rs. 20,000, per annum in the 4th and 5th year. Applicants have to apply for renewal scholarships on NSP every subsequent year. Students pursuing B.Tech, BE would get 4 installment of scholarship only i.e Rs. 10000 per annum for first three years and Rs. 20,000 per annum in the 4th year.

CBSE has advised the candidates to submit their application within the stipulated time and verify their online applications by the respective institutions. The Institute verification for application will be till December 15. The nodal officers of institutions have also been asked to verify the online application in time.
