CBSE to provide digital certificates to students affected by Kerala floods

NEW DELHI, AUGUST 28: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to allocate digital certificates to the students from CBSE-affiliated schools in Kerala. Since, the state has been hit by the worst flood in a century, it is feared that many students might have lost their marksheets, migration certificates and pass certificates.

Students must note that they will be able to download their documents from the Parinam Manjusha website using their respective login-id and password that was provided at the time of declaration of results on their registered mobile numbers.

To make the process easy for students, CBSE will re-send login-id and password of Parinam Manjusha/DigiLocker pertaining to students of the year 2016-2018 on their mobile numbers provided with Class X/XII data.

Kerala has over 1,300 schools are affiliated to the Board. Since the Board exam academic documents are crucial for admission for higher studies and employment etc. CBSE, in technical collaboration with NeGD, has developed digital academic repository called ‘Parinam Manjusha’.

The digital academic documents are digitally signed using digital signature of Controller of Examinations of CBSE which make them legally valid digital document as per the IT Act. The documents will also have PKI based QR codes and such documents can be verified for the authenticity using the DigiLocker mobile app.
