As per last year’s CBSE Class 12 results, the overall pass percentage increased by nearly 4% points compared to 2020. The overall pass percentage in 2021 was almost 100 percent as the CBSE Board did not conduct the exam but declared the results based on the alternative assessment criteria. The CBSE Class 12 students’ pass percentage was 99.37% and 99.04% were declared pass in Class 10.

On the other hand, the CBSE Class 10 results recorded an overall percentage of 94.40% last year, which is nearly 3 percentage points higher than the 2020 results. The 2021 Class 10 CBSE results stood at 99.04%.

The CBSE Board has not yet announced the CBSE Class 10, 12 result date 2023, however, it is expected to be declared “shortly” on the official website, cbseresutls.nic.in. Since last year, the board has also been hosting the results in various other platforms such as DigiLocker and UMANG apps.

The CBSE Class 10, 12 results 2023 showed sharp increase in 2020-21 due to the alternative assessment method used by the schools as board exams were not conducted due to the pandemic situation.

In 2018-19, government, private and other CBSE-affiliated schools had a very low percentage of students who passed Class 12. On the other hand, Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs), Jawahar Navodya Vidyalayas (JNVs) and APS schools showed a difference of 10 percentage points compared to the government and other schools.

The board, however, recorded the highest pass percentage after COVID-19. The significant rise in the pass percentage may be because the board exams were held in online mode and the assessment criteria was lenient. By 2020-21, almost all schools showed a result with more than 99% students passing the exam. Whereas, the CBSE Class 10 results 2023 also increased by around 25 percentage points in two years.
