Additionally, the final selection for BTech admission at IITs will be done based on other factors, including reservation, seat availability, and 75% criteria in Class 12. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the JEE Mains result 2025 today, April 17, for BE, BTech paper 1 exams.
Around 13 lakh students had registered for this year’s engineering entrance exam. Of which, only the top 2.5 lakh rank holders will be allowed to apply for the JEE Advanced 2025 exam, slated to be administered by IIT Kanpur on May 18. Candidates who are declared qualified in JEE Main result 2025 will be able to submit the JEE Advanced registration form 2025 through the official website, jeeadv.ac.in, from April 23 to May 2.
The JEE Main cut-off and rank 2025 may vary for different categories for admission in IITs, NITs, other government-funded engineering institutes. Candidates with the highest JEE Main rank ranging between AIR 1 to 12000 will be allotted seats for popular courses like computer science and engineering in IITs, as per previous year’s trends.
Subject experts expect the JEE Main cut-off 2025 marks may go up this year as the overall difficulty level of JEE Main exam was moderate to easy compared to previous year’s question paper (JEE PYQ).

Last year, the qualifying criteria were lowered to include candidates at least two times the available seats. A total of 1,80,200 candidates appeared in paper 1 and 2 in JEE Adv, of which 48,248 scored qualifying marks.
