CBSE to conduct term-1 minor subject exams for 12th, 10th from November 16, 17

CBSE controller Sanyam Bharadwaj said that datesheet for minor subject exams will be sent to schools separately.
Students can access the subject-wise CBSE Class 10 syllabus for the 2025–26 academic session.
Check NowNEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct CBSE term 1 board exams 2022 for minor subjects for Classes 10 and 12 from November 17 and November 16, respectively.

CBSE controller Sanyam Bharadwaj said that the date sheets for the minor subjects will be sent directly to the schools as those exams will be conducted by the schools but with the board's question papers.
Bharadwaj also said that for most of the students, the board is likely to assign their own schools as exam centres which will be sanitised before exams are held.
The board has released the CBSE Term 1 datesheet for Classes 10 and 12 on the official website - cbse.gov.in.

CBSE has classified elective subjects like Punjabi, Web Application, Bhutia, Tamang, Urdu, Japanese etc as minor subjects, and core subjects as Mathematics, Physics, Economics, History, Chemistry among others as major subjects. There are a total of 9 major subjects in class 10, and in class 12 there are a total of 19 major subjects.
There are a total of 66 minor subjects in class 10, and 95 in class 12. CBSE will make a group of schools offering these subjects and so, more than one paper would be conducted by the board in the schools on a day.

"The term 2 exam to be held in March-April 2022 will either have objective or subjective questions depending on the Covid situation at that time," said CBSE examination controller, Sanyam Bhardwaj.
How to download CBSE Term 1 Date Sheet 2021-22
- Go to the official website of CBSE board,cbse.gov.in
- On the home page, check the latest notification section and click on the CBSE board date sheet term 1 2021-22 link for the respective class.
- A new page with the CBSE Class 10 and 12 date sheet will be displayed.
- Check the CBSE date sheet 2022, and click on the download button.
- Save the CBSE term 1 date sheet 2022 for future reference.
