NEW DELHI: A notice on CBSE term 1 weightage for Class 10, 12 circulating on social media is fake. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not issued any clarification regarding the CBSE term 1 and term 2 weightage so far.

The fake notice dated March 31 stated that the CBSE has decided to reduce the weightage of CBSE term 1 exam keeping in mind the problems faced by students and schools.

The fake notice claimed that the “Weightage of CBSE term 1 and term 2 examination will be 30 and 70 percent respectively.”
The notice which looks similar to that of the CBSE circular issued earlier said, “The performance of the CBSE Term-I exams is only being communicated to the schools by the CBSE.”
“The weightage of internal assessments conducted by the school will remain the same and will not be altered,” it said.

The fake notice also added a piece of information shared by the CBSE board earlier during the CBSE term 1 result declaration to make it look original. It added, “In case students who missed their Term-I exams due to COVID or due to their participating in any national or international exam or sport event. Their final performance will be assessed on the basis of their performance in Term-II examinations.”
Meanwhile, students have been demanding clarity on the weightage of CBSE term 1 results 2022. As per the notice issued by the board during the CBSE term 1 result date, the weightage of CBSE term 1 and term 2 will be decided at the time of declaration of CBSE term 2 result for both Class 12 and 10.
